WEST meets EAST in a KITCHEN in KUALA LUMPUR :: WEEK 12

0

We are traveling with kids in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We’ve been here for three weeks on a world family adventure. Sometimes, finding things to do for the family travel vlog is hard.

However, we are discovering that digging around in the AirBnB experience section fills the void. In fact, it’s more than just a list of activities we can choose from for something to do.

We are discovering it’s a lot more than that: the AirBnB experience section is a gateway to meeting locals and making new friends on our world family adventure.

Early in the week, we went to the Batu Caves. That was okay.

Then, Mike went drone flying with Farizul. That was lots of fun. Mike and Farizul talked about flying a drone, traveling with a drone, and about Malay culture. You can learn to fly a drone with Farizul here:

Later, the whole globetrotting family went to Faizah’s and Zainab’s house. Wow, what a fantastic experience to enter a local Malay house for some home cooking. Of course, the malay food cooking experience was wonderful, but even better was having our children see and taste, smell and hear Malay culture, Malay food, and making friends with our hosts (this is what makes world travel with children so worth it). If you’re in Kuala Lumpur, you really ought to make some time to go:

We shot this week’s footage on a GoPro Hero 6 and an iPhone X. The vlog was created and edited in iMovie and Canva. TubeBuddy for YouTube was used for technical YouTube guidance.
